218 Self-Help Groups supported in 2025

Through Participatory Integrated Planning (PIP), families develop a shared vision for the future and learn to improve agricultural production, diversify crops and apply sustainable farming techniques. This helps households produce healthier food, increase their income and become more self-reliant.

Help a Child Malawi strengthens families and communities through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), savings and income-generating activities, while promoting climate-smart agriculture and sustainable natural resource management. Examples include soil conservation, mulching, planting trees and adopting energy-saving technologies. By combining economic opportunities with environmental protection and climate adaptation, Help a Child Malawi helps families become more resilient to climate shocks and build a more secure future for their children.
