Food Security & Livelihoods

Help a Child DRC works to improve household food security and strengthen sustainable livelihoods, particularly for internally displaced people, returnees and vulnerable host communities.

7,970 people reached with FSL interventions in 2025
82,721 people reached with WASH interventions in 2025

Activities include distributing seeds and agricultural tools, providing cash assistance, training farmers in good agricultural practices, and supporting Self-Help Groups that enable households to learn together, save money and develop income-generating activities. By helping families increase agricultural production, diversify their sources of income and become more self-reliant, the programme addresses immediate food needs while building resilience to future crises.

These interventions are implemented in collaboration with local partners, including in Masisi and Fizi, with support from the Dutch Relief Alliance.
